I'd leave well alone, until or unless he starts to show any problems with his ears - which is usually fairly obvious, because they shake their heads, scratch and paw at the ear just cancel the op via reception - say the problem seems to have resolved - if she is busy she will hardly register you hav...

Re: Cat Gone Off Wet Food
it could be down to the state of her gums - getting wet food into her mouth might be more difficult than sucking in one biscuit at a time my Tosker kind of inhales food, because his sinuses are always bunged up, and he will only eat wet food in the form of firm pieces of fish or chicken - he really ...

if there's somewhere in the courtyard for you to sit, you could try him on a harness and long lead, so you could sit whilst he has a wander and sniff around I wouldn't risk anything more for a while yet - but this would at least get him used to the immediate outside surrounding the place he now call...

he won't be able to remove the matted fur by himself - you need a de-matting comb - if there is no danger of cutting him you could also cut off any mats which are not attached to his skin

Re: Will our cat become cuddly?
my Tosker was so afraid of me when I first rescued him that he managed to scale a catproof fence, and took up residence in next door's garage it took me three months to get him into the house, and two more months to touch him - now he spends half his life trying to cuddle me so 2 weeks is no time at...

I have a tube of Laxapet in my pet medicine cupboard, described as a highly palatable malt-based gel - contents lecithin, fish liver oil, vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxine, cuanocoalamin, and sodium benzoate as a preservative I bought it some time ago, and don't remember if it was expensiv...

she's not used to being an only cat, I would guess, and is crying at night for her former companions - though if she was free to roam before it may be she is used to being outside hunting all night, and sleeping all day her body clock will adjust to her new circumstance soon, I would guess - meanwhi...

I'm loving this thread - I look forward to reading of the further adventures of Arnie and his new Russian lady friend (or should that be 'friend') in Malta as regards those deflated balloons at the back, that's normal in cats which have been castrated in their full adulthood - bit like the saggy ski...

in my somewhat limited experience, cats who are the most scared tend to be easiest to transport, as they just freeze with fear and barely move or make a noise - it's the confident ones who act up the most (yes, Tiffany, I do mean you)

check out Josera Culinesse too - no potato starch in it - I've just checked my bag of it incidently, you have helped me out with my Trigger, who has food intolerances - manifested in a lot of yellow smelly poo - but I've struggled for ages to get to the bottom of the source(s) - I've suspected fish,...

Gourmet senior pate is the only wet food Tiffany will eat, and I dose her every day with Cystease using it - but I can also get powder into her using malt paste as a main food source, you could be in trouble - I think the 'various sugars' which Gourmet contains are a bit addictive - Trigger used to ...

Gourmet senior pate is currently £8.99 for 24 tins on Zooplus, so perhaps you could stock up for the foreseeable future if senior foods are being discontinued, could it be because they have been shown to offer no real benefits - I can't believe they don't sell, as there are a lot of older cats about...
