Re: New kittens - how far in the car?

I'm not a fan of kittens travelling and don't really like more than 45 mins for kittens, even adults I'd rather only do over an hour if they are hard to home. We would reserve pending a homevisit and viewing, it is amazing how many people have a kitten in mind off colour, then when they meet them th...

Re: stray cat issues, kittens

Everyone needs neutering, hiw tame are mum and son? If you can't catch them, then you'd need to speak to a local rescue regarding trapping them. If you can't afford to neuter them, then please speak to cats protection for vouchers

Re: Why is she suddenly spraying daily after 9 months???

You say no health problem, but you don't mention seeing a vet. Spraying and not using a litter tray can be a sign of a urinary infection so she needs a vet visit to rule it oit.

Re: Thryoid problem and teeth problem in our 21 year old cat

I also have a 21yo who I suspected to have thyroid issues. Bloods showed she was getting towards the higher end of normal. One vet said it is unusual for it to develop in such an old cat. The other vet said that as her kidneys are also getting towards the higher end of normal, they wouldn't want to ...

Re: Can anyone help me with my cats sickness

As long as it is renal food, the make doesn't matter. I would ask to morrow if they stock royal Canin renal, it is chunks so much more palatable. I've had a few cats over the years on renal food and none have liked the tinned hills, although my friend was given hills pouches which seemed better

Thee are other brands of renal wet, hills seems to be the most unpopular. I always find dry more palatable

Re: Boris is having a scan

Glad nothing sinister showed up on the scan, but annoying they don't know why he can't chew. I would have thought arthritis would show up in a scan, it does on an x ray

I'm glad they've agreed to remove the lump, just a shame they don't do biopsies. The soft collar is called a comfy collar

Re: Lump under right arm/leg

Unfortunately 80% of mammary tumours are cancerous, and it is a very aggressive cancer with a high return rate. My friend's cat did have a full mammary strip removal (which is normally just the one side, unless there are lumps on both), and it is a big operation so I Can understand a PDSA vet being ...

Re: Roughly how much do you think it costs to 'keep' a cat .

Blimey!! When I do homevisits, we say around £25-30 a month. Not that mine cost that little, Buster's renal food alone is more than that, and his insurance is about £30. I think I Worked out he cost around £100 a month just for insurance, renal wet, Seraquin and Denamarin, never mind litter etc (Alt...

Re: Nee kitten. is it indoor or outdoor cat?

While I would give the cat the choice, I don't agree with putting them out when you go to work and letting them in when you get home, if they get into a fight or something, they have no way of getting into a safe place, and you won't be able to deal with any injuries until you get back. I prefer my ...
