Found cat-potential stray Norwich

Hi,
I live in the Lakenham area of Norwich and there has been a black and white male cat hanging around for about 2 years now. He is quite skinny, has not been neutered and seems to be quite skittish. However, today we caught him thinking that he must be a stray and took him to the vets to check for a microchip. He does not have one and so we have taken him home with us as a temporary measure until we either rehome him or find an owner. We are pretty sure he is a stray but just wondered if anybody in our area is missing this cat? All of the rescue centres seem to be full and we are unwilling to let an unneutered cat back onto the streets to create more strays, there are an awful lot in our area and we really don't want more hanging around!
