The Torquay & District Branch of the Cats Protection are desperate for help with an FIV+ cat. He is a stray that a lady has been feeding and she had planned to keep him. Unfortunately he has tested positive for FIV and as she has three of her own cats she can't take him back. Our vets have agreed to look after the cat for a couple of days whilst we try to find him an indoor home but he needs to be moved before the weekend.
He is a short haired, black cat, approx 2-4 years of age and friendly.

If the cat is good-natured and the lady's other cats are use to it and don't mind it, I can't see the problem. I have 1 FIV+ cat and 4 Fiv- all living together with no problems. The virus is not easily transmitted.

If she would not reconsider, I really hope you can find someone to give him a home. I wish I could.
