Daisy, nervous polydactyl cat (Bromley & Dist Cat Rescue)

Post by YogiBoy »

((Posted on behalf of Bromley & District Cat Rescue))

Daisy is a pretty, tabby and white girl, 8 years old. She is very nervous, so will need a caring, patient and experienced home to win her trust and bring her out of her shell. Once in a proper home, with understanding people who won't expect too much of her right away, Daisy should slowly start to blossom.

Daisy is a polydactyl (six-toed) cat. Regular cats have five toes on each front paw and four toes on each hind paw; so being a polydactyl cat makes our Daisy just that little bit extra special!

It is so rewarding to win the trust of a shy or nervous cat, and they often become the most loyal and loving of pets.

If you are willing and able to adopt two cats, please consider Sam-Wise who is also at the shelter, as Daisy is very friendly with him. Alternatively she could go to a home with another resident cat or cats. Either way it would be good for Daisy to have at least one other cat around, to help build her confidence and make her feel secure.

If you have experience of winning round shy cats, or if you are a cat lover who likes a bit of a challenge, Daisy would love to hear from you!

This is URGENT, as due to the ill health of one of the shelter's key people, they need to reduce the number of cats at the rescue as soon as possible. Being nervous and middle aged will sadly make Daisy harder to home than some of the other cats.
