Urgent yet complicated rehoming situation in CRAWLEY,Sussex!!

Post by EB3091 »

Hi all

I’ve recently left an abusive relationship in the town of Crawley and there are four cats that remain at the property I had to leave. My ex partner is not allowed contact with me, and is being evicted very soon. Apparently one cat has been rehomed, but I’m not aware of which. There were originally two three year old and three two year olds, none of which were neutered (He refused to neuter them).

There’s really not much I can do now as I can’t contact him, but the landlord can although I’m not sure how involved he will want to be. Can anyone help me? I will be devastated if I simply never find out what happens to them. It is not possible for me to take them as I had to move to shared accommodation straight away where they have dogs.

Thank you!

Hi,

It may be worth contacting the Cinnamon Trust https://cinnamon.org.uk to see if they are able to provide you with cat fostering services.

There is also a site called Reducing the Risk, which provides a list of pet refuge services in the UK: https://www.reducingtherisk.org.uk/cms/ ... e-services. Several organisations offer pet refuge services in the Sussex area, including Cats Protection's Paws Protect https://www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/paws ... ws-protect and The Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare https://www.raystede.org/

You could also email Cat Chat's Help Desk for further advice: cat.advice (at) catchat.org

I hope you find a safe place for your cats soon.
