TWENTY for 2020: Toby (Homed!)

Post by Ellie-G »

To mark Cat Chat's 20th Anniversary, our "Twenty for 2020" Campaign aims to find homes for the 20 most overlooked cats in rescue: https://www.catchat.org/twenty-for-2020

Number 12 on our campaign is...

TOBY

Toby has been in the care of New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead for almost two years.

The sort of cat that's never had a particular plan to his life, Toby has just catwalked along, enjoying the good stuff and trying to survive the bad. His rather rugged but handsome facial features suggest that his early days were misspent in the narrow alleyways of Gateshead.

These years of rough and ready lifestyle have taken its toll on Toby's health and the doctor's orders are now for a quiet, indoor life and a special diet. A big softie at heart, seven year old Toby has taken favourably to this new regime but would enjoy it ever so much more in a real home.

Toby has a clear preference for women. Could he be your 'man about the house'?

We are thrilled to say that TOBY is now HOMED!!!

Toby had been in the care of New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead for almost two years.

Thanks to your help, Toby has found his ideal home. Toby's new human told us: "Toby is a lovely boy; he is very clever and curious, and has the cutest little squeak when he uses his voice! Toby loves strokes and cuddles and really enjoys climbing. He has been exploring the house as much as possible, and I think Toby has settled well already. He really likes head bumping and being close, and I am confident he trusts me already!".

Before being rescued, Toby had just catwalked along, trying to survive in the narrow alleyways of Gateshead. The years of his rough and ready lifestyle had taken its toll on Toby's health and he just needed a quiet life and a special diet. A big softie at heart, seven year old Toby can now sit back, relax and enjoy his change of fortune in a real, loving home.

In an extra effort to get himself noticed, Toby agreed to star in a little video.

Check out his charming "good morning" miaows & chirps! See Toby's video here:

We are pleased to say that TOBY is now HOMED!!!

Toby had been the care of New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead for 2 years.

Thanks to your help, and his appearance on our campaign, ladies man Toby has found his ideal home, with a caring lady to give him all the love he deserves. His new owner told us: "Toby seems to be settling in really well and adjusting quicker than I expected! He's such a lovely cat, I don't know why it's taken so long to find someone to give him a home."

His earlier years of a rough and ready lifestyle had taken its toll on Toby's health, and doctor's orders were for a quiet, indoor life and a special diet. A big softie at heart, seven year old Toby can now relax, play and enjoy his cosy new home.

Thanks to Toby's new 'mum' for sending this lovely photo (below) of Toby getting to grips with one of his new toys!
