Barn/Farm Cat Needs Home - Prestwood HP16

Post by Taurinegb »

I have a 3 year old neutered male cat who doesn't like human interaction. He is very healthy and friendly with other cats but not with humans.
He is a good mouser and would do good on a farm or similar. He is a sweet cat, not aggressive. Indoor/outdoor.
Micro chipped, grey tabby.

The following pages on the main Cat Chat site might be useful for you, if you haven’t already seen them:

Cat Chat’s rehoming advice page, which also includes advice on ways to avoid having to rehome: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/rehome-pet-cat

Cat Chat’s list of rescue and rehoming organisations who are known to help with feral/farm cats: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cats/feral-farm-cats
Please note that this list is not exhaustive and there may be other organisations in your area who can help.

Some rescue and rehoming organisations can organise a direct rehoming, which is where you keep the cat until a new home is found. Direct rehoming can be easier for the cat, as he only has to move house once. You can find out more about direct rehoming here: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/direct-rehoming-cat

You could also email Cat Chat’s Help Desk for further advice: cat.advice (at) catchat.org

Hope that helps.
