LOOKING FOR A HOUSE CAT (West Yorkshire/Lancashire border)

Hi I'm keeping my eye out for a house cat (no preference of gender or age as long as it's not a kitten) as I live in a town centre with no outside space. They must already be a house cat as it would be cruel to keep a cat inside if they knew the outside world already.

I can provide a comfortable, quiet and loving home for a cat that cannot be looked after by anyone else. I live on my own and work full time but evenings and weekends would be free and most cats are quite happy to be on their own during the day anyway!

Would love to hear back from anyone, thanks!

Hi there

Are you still looking?

I need to rehome a 7 year old female house cat through no fault of her own. She's a lovely girl but quite nervous and is being bullied by my other cats- she could live with another docile cat but she can't cope with my three monsters. She's a sweet, quiet girl - black and white - and is in good health and up to date on all shots etc. Ours is a very loving home and this is heart breaking, but ultimately if the cat's not happy, the cat's not happy, and our place is too small to give her enough sanctuary from the big boys.

Very happy to provide more information and pictures if you're interested. Please get in touch.

P.S. I am in East Anglia (as the name suggests) but I will drive across country for the right home, so location is no problem for me. My only concern is getting a good, quiet home.

Hi!

Yes I'm still on the look out... some more information would be great thank you but she sounds perfect. I would have to clear everything with my landlord first so thats something to bear in mind.. but I am definitely interested thank you!

Hi Jenna

Great to hear you're still looking!

So the cat's name is Pixel. I don't have any pictures online but if you want to PM me your email address I can send some over as attachments (I'm not sure how to do it here, or whether that's even possible!). I volunteered at a cat rescue years ago and fostered a pregnant cat, so Pixel was in fact born in my old house! She was the runt of the litter and is still just a tiny thing - around three and a half kilos - but never had any health complaints or anything as a result. She's incredibly gentle, has never lashed out - I've only ever heard her hiss a handful of times and that's always directed at the big bully boy cats. She makes little chirpy noises like a bird, and as you can imagine she doesn't eat a lot, although she goes crazy for Science Plan kibble! She can be quite playful (Da Bird being a particular favourite) but she's not the type of cat to playfully go for your hand or anything like that. She's very sweet and likes to sit on your lap - she's affectionate and will actively seek out cuddles once she trusts you. She doesn't particularly like to be picked up but you can do it without fear. I cut her claws regularly and, though she hates it, she will tolerate it gently. Similarly she's okay being flea treated and dewormed. She's never been outside before so you wouldn't be depriving her of anything - I myself am now in a rented flat too for the foreseeable, hence not having the space to give her a chance away from the boys. Pixel's my little angel and it will break my heart to see her go, but it's easier to rehome one cat then the two difficult boys (especially when one of them is disabled). If you ever felt like getting a second cat in time, with a slow introduction she'd probably be okay with it so long as the other cat was docile and doddery!

Do let me know how I can send you pictures and if there's anything else you'd like to know please ask. Maybe you'd like to speak on the phone or see her over Skype or something?

Best wishes,
Ava
