My elderly mother has just come out of hospital and needs help with her cat!
Winston suffers from an eczema which requires medication twice a Day. As he refuses to tackle anything in his food you need to wrap him in a towel and open his mouth to administer his pill then squirt his medicine with a syringe after that. She cannot manage this anymore and I am worried about how they will both carry on.
I live in the Midlands so am not there to help and wondered if there was anyone in the Stockton-on-Tees area who could assist?

Hey
The cat needs the medicine so we gotta find a way. Is there a friendly neighbor nearby?

Re: home help
Hey Nicky, I'm in a situation myself as my little cat needs medication twice daily and I'm going away for a few days this week and again in November and I have nobody nearby who can help.
As a result I've decided to call in a pet sitting service as they'll be able to come in twice a day to feed my cat and administer medication.
You may be able to find a service who are willing to just pop in to medicate your mum's cat. I'm not sure what position you're in financially though and how much it would cost as a regular thing but perhaps it could be worth enquiring in case you can sort something out with them if nothing else comes up?
I've had a quick look and found these services in your mum's area..
http://www.paw-pals.co.uk/pawpals/services.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.petpals.com/area/stockton/pe ... rvices.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.pooches.biz/our-services/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Good luck, medicating a cat daily does come with its challenges. I hope your mum is feeling better soon after her hospital visit
