Help - injured cat-had operation keeps wanting out
Hello everyone, I have a 2yrs old cat which I had taken in,he has never went to the toilet in the house and always went outside before the accident, his jaw is wired at the moment and was just neuterd. receives pain relief,he has been eating ok. he has only urinated, but hasn't had a poo in 2 days.and is crying too get out.would this be because he will only poo at his chosen spot? Thanks in advance

Poor boy - maybe try putting some earth in a litter box for him to see if that will help?

Hopefully having soil in a litter tray will do the trick - do you know where he usually does his business? Not a nice thing to have to do, but if you know then grab some soil from there as it may have his scent.
Also what kind of litter trays are you using, and how many do you have. Quite a few cats don't like using the same tray for their wee's and poo's so maybe having more than one until he can get out will work?
Best of luck and let us know how you get on
Fusses to your boy

Hi,sorry i haven't replied sooner, I only have the one tray at the moment...i got the soil and litter and thankfully he went,he has been going with no problems now so I will get another tray sorted,he has been to the vet for his check up and his jaw seems to be holding ok and is coming round to himself,I have also give him a worming table tonight.i was wondering if it would make him go to the poo, thanks for the help on getting him to go
