Very sad

Post by crazy cat lady »

Hi,

I don't post stuff on here very often, wish I had the time to, not even sure if i've chosen the right place to post but I felt the need to share my devastating news. Our beloved Tigger had to be put to sleep on Thursday and myself and my partner are so upset and lonely without him. I posted on the site back in September 2014 as he was diagnosed with cancer (a mass near his lungs) and we thought we had lost him, thanks to a brilliant vet, Tigger had 6 week regular steroid injections and we enjoyed nearly 8 months with our boy, you wouldn't think anything was wrong with him, he had such fight and spirit in him.

We sat with him early morning on Thursday 14th May, until we could get him to our vet, sadly this time around he wasn't able to start walking again on his back legs and was either in discomfort or pain, every time he turned around on the sofa he made a yowling noise and I desperately wished there was something I could have done to have helped him. When we had got him to the vet she told us that he had also lost his sight, and had no feeling in his back end, this time around the cancer really had beaten him. We had to make the painstaking decision to have him put to sleep.

We got him from a dog and cats home in 2000 and he has been spoilt and loved very much ever since then. It is extremely quiet and lonely without our Tigger and I cannot imagine life without him, all we can do is remember all the joy, fun and happiness that he brought us.

Thank you for this site and to all the supportive people on here.

I am so sorry to hear this. He had a wonderful life with you and the chance of extra time last year when he was first poorly.

RIP Tigger x

Very sorry to hear - no matter how many times it happens, it never gets better; they're lent to us for such a short time and then we have to let them go. But he must have loved his life with you, and you gave him the very best of care and love; not all cats are so fortunate x

So sorry to hear the news. Lilith is right, it never gets better, it's never easy. Comfort yourselves with the thoughts that you gave Tigger a wonderful life, gave him the best chances with his illness and now he is free from pain and playing at the Bridge with all our lost little ones. (hugs) to you both.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))

I absolutely agree with the previous posters, and I really hope that you can find some comfort in the fact that you gave him so much love and care. He couldn't have asked for more.

Rest in peace beloved Tigger. xx

Thank you so much everyone for your kind messages. Still hard to believe Tigger is no longer here, he had the run of our house and rightly so, he deserved it. Thinking that he is irreplaceable, but hoping that one day we can give a loving caring home to another animal/s that need one.

Good health and lots of love to all you good people and your animals. xx

I am sorry to hear about poor Tigger. I know how you must be feeling now. It's horrible to loose our beloved fur babies, but you gave him a lovely home and a happy life. That was the greatest gift of all.

Take care x
