Probiotics for cats

Post by lnxjenn »

My vet suggested giving Pugsley probiotic but didn't really say what to use. I've ordered some that goes in his food. I just wondered if you guys have experience with probiotics and cats?

Why has the vet suggested probiotics?

I'm all for probiotics (there are 100's if not 1,000's of them) but I would echo booktigger's question - why?

These are the ones I was giving mine on recommendation of the vet, but they are only usually given if a cat has chronic diarrhea or other gut issues http://www.mrpets.co.uk/p14279/Protexin ... GwodL_4J5g
