Sudden Agression
Hi, I am looking for some advice. One of my cats called Schooz has become aggressive, I have 4 cats in total, The one in question is a black cat who I took in after she was getting abused little over a year ago. This year on the 30th of April she had kittens, we ended up keeping 2 of them and they are doing real well. About a 2 days ago Schooz started yowling at me whenever I went near her. If I try to stroke her she bites and scratches me. Until this point she has been a loving cat who followed me round the house when she was in and slept on my bed. Something must have happened for her to change so quick and i have tried inspecting her incase she was hurt and didnt want me going near the hurt area. My hands are in shreds at the moment and I am hoping someone can help me work out what has caused this change. She is not an indoor cat and gets plenty attention when in and lots of treats so I don't think she is feeling pushed out. She also used to get along with the other cat and her 2 kittens but is hissing and yowling at them whenever they go near so the agression isnt just against me.

Re: Sudden Agression
I'm not an expert, but the first thought in my mind is, has she been neutered, and if not, might she be in season?

Re: Sudden Agression
You should take her to the vet. Maybe she is in pain or something is wrong with her. Use a blanket to cover her face and help you to put her in carrier.
Usually that looks like a defense mechanism they have when something is wrong.
Have you noticed anything strange nearby? Or in her routine. Different scents? Anything? She has a trauma with past abuse, so i would really recommend taking her to the vet.
Let us no more about schooz.
