Have two cats both 10 months old, male is 5+kg, female Bree is 3.1 kg
I've been thinking of changing their flea treatment to Program Oral Suspension, I know it is a little more expensive but if it cuts down on the monthly treatments then fine.
Problem is the choices of treatment is (a) "Small cats up to 4.5 kg and (b) for larger cats over 4.5kg. If I bought the (b) pack for cats over 4.5 kg would I be able to use this on the smaller cat which is 3.1 kg which is slightly lighter than the recommended weight?
I know I will have to compliment Program with something like Capstar for the 1st 6 months to keep the adult fleas (if any) at bay.

Re: Program Oral Suspension Treatment
I've just had that dilemma with the two strays I look after - I think of them as my outdoor cats
I can't weigh them and they look pretty average to me, so thought it best to go for the lower dose - time will no doubt tell if it is effective - I dosed them with crushed Capstar at breakfast and put the Program into their lunch, and they ate both quite happily - I also sprayed their kennels and bedding with Indorex to kill any fleas in there, and to be thorough you might need to do something similar
