My kitten is on antibiotics but doesn’t seem better

I adopted my kitten this past Saturday and when she got home I noticed she was sneezing green mucus and sleeping a bunch, so I took her to the vet on Monday and they said she is probably just recovering from being spayed (she was spayed on Friday). They prescribed her some antibiotics just in case she might have an upper respiratory infection, but she has been on it for two days and doesn’t seem to be getting better. She has also sneezed a tiny bit of blood today, I want to call the vet but tomorrow is thanksgiving and they are closed. Should I be worried?

I think you may need to wait another few days for the ABs to take effect, or, of course, it may be a virus. Is she eating and drinking well? Kittens have tiny stomachs, so a small meal several times a day is best. As long as she is eating and drinking, and there are no signs of dehydration (look online for how to check) I think you are safe to wait till after the holiday. Most bugs are self limiting, but if she seems no better in a few days, or shows signs of dehydration, I would call your vet.

Okay thanks for the advice! She is still eating pretty well, but she isn’t drinking that much water. I’ve been feeding her wet food though so she is getting some kinda liquid. She does seem a bit more alert this morning so that makes me feel a bit better!
