Old friends not playing nice - Help!

Post by Catsmother79 »

Ok, so I have a 9 year old male, absolute dote, soft as anything, tactile and obedient - to people. He’s definitely alpha male and although he’s fixed he has had plenty of fights (honestly he fights dogs and foxes!) so I know he can definitely man up!

When he was about 6/7 we adopted couple of young homeless girls. He was fine with them and would lick them and curl up with them. Softie. But now they’re adults he’s an absolute sod to one. Like chases and hits her, but not the other one.

The girl he chases is a bit more independent and would go for days in the summer and didn’t know if this might affect his behaviour to her?

I thought maybe because she’s out she might not smell familiar but she’s been an indoor cat for months now and he’s still not nice to her. I’m at a loss! Both on their own they are wonderful beautiful friendly cats, I just don’t get it!!! Help please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
