Cat spring on my bed

Post by Weeluna20 »

My cat Luna is 8 months old and for the past 3 nights she's just started peeing on my bed
Any hints on how to get her to stop
I've cleaned out her litter tray it didn't help

Is she peeing while asleep, or coming in deliberately to use the bed? Peeing on top of it, or spraying on the side? Is there anything new that might have stressed her - new routine, new furniture, etc, etc? If it is in her sleep or because she needs to go urgently I would get her checked for a UTI. If it is spray marking it is probably anxiety - no scolding, but finding and removing or mitigating the cause is the usual advice.

Hi
Good points from fjm, you may need to play detective to pinpoint the cause if it's stress related, and a good idea to get Luna checked out by a vet if it's continuing.

Worth checking out our page about inappropriate toileting too: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-t ... ay-indoors

Please do post back here with any further info or developments.

good luck, I hope you can find the solution soon.
