It's all about the additives that go into pet foods and makes some rather interesting comments on the types of aromas that attract cats and make their commercial foods so irresistibly delicious. Though renal diet foods could maybe do with more cadaverine! It's also evidence that ingredients listed like corn, grain, toxic cranberry, soy, pea protein and a thousand and one others are extracts derived from - not a sack of wheat tipped into a pouch.
Just take anything from the internet with a pinch of salt though - there is one glaring error in the article, the cat has been domesticated for more than 9500 years, not the 4300 claimed, and the evidence for that was from the Cyprus cat skeleton found in 2004, 17 years before this was written.
