UTI advice please

Post by AnxietyKat »

Hi,
My elderly cat with kidney disease and HT has been diagnosed with a UTI.
She had some IV and a shot of antibiotics (2 week lasting) and her appetite isn’t that great.
Am I expecting too much too soon? How soon do these antibiotics for UTI’s usually take to work?

Thank you

How long is it since the AB jab? If it has been more than three or four days without improvement I would talk to your vet - it sometimes takes a change of medication to sort cystitis.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

She had the jab Friday afternoon.

If she has not improved by tomorrow I would call the vet to ask for advice.
