Cat urine or something else?

Purchased a sofa for the basement. A few days after purchase, one of the cushions has a strong odor which I have to assume is urine. Different odor than fresh urine, but I am assuming that is the blended material/pee smell. That said, there is no stain (even with black light although sofa is dark color) and the cushion was already completely dry when I first noticed the smell (I think I caught quickly but can’t be 100% sure how much time passed). The cat was only in the area once and it was brief - so I’m surprised it would have peed that quickly.
Any other behavior that would leave behind a strong odor but no stain?? Or am I correct to assume it’s urine. The odor is NOT going away even after repeated cleaning of the area.
