Cat wound

Post by lewisforrest02 »

My 3 year old cat was acting strange.scared and not wanting stroked. felt a lump on his back but no mark. 3 days lqter the lump has gone down but he has been licking his back and i can see a mark and like clear liquid. he is acting himself now, eating and affectionate but this is now worrying me. will it heal itself or do i need to take him to vet?

It sounds like an abscess, in which case he will be feeling much better now that it has burst. It is probably wise to have your vet check it, just in case it is something worse, or needs antibiotics to complete the healing.
