Kidney failure

My little Susan has gone back to the vets today and has been kept in with an IV drip as dehydrated again.The good news is that her Hyperthyroidism tablets are to be reduced in dosage which should help flow of blood to her kidneys? She has not eaten and was vomiting again and vet said she has kidney failure. ( She had stage 2 before).Vet hopes that the IV will stabilise her. Can anyone who has similar experience let me know what happens after the IV? She may be home tomorrow or stay in for a couple more days, they want to see if she eats anything
