Third eye problem

Post by Dept12 »

Hi All,
I have been searching the forums for refs to this problem, but have found nothing. Recently my cat Briony has had weepy eyes with a brown mottled third eye appearing half way over each eye. This seems to go away during the day if she's outside and active, but reappears in the mornings and evenings. She seems quite depressed with it. She's recently been treated for a bad respiratory infection, and I wonder if this is related in any way. Otherwise she's eating well and is active. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately URI and eye infections are symptoms of the cat flu virus and often go together, if the eye problems have been going on for more than a couple of days you probably need to get something from the vet to help clear it up.

Thanks for your reply. Will probably take her to the vet this afternoon.
