Cat won't let me stroke his back

Post by Hyperkate »

Hi I have 2 5 year old black and white cats, my overweight one has suddenly take. A dislike to people stroking him, especially his lower back? He is constantly cleaning and I presume stressed. I have plugged a feli way in but it's not helping. He is going for his jabs Thursday and the only change in his life is 2 ginger kittens in the house behind. Anyone else experienced this? Also his brother is attacking him more... Could he be poorly? He is eating, purring, peeing, pooing, sleeping as norm and tail is up, he just appears more scared. Thanks in advance

Has he had a whack from his brother? He might have a puncture wound that has turned septic. That has happened twice to our Gracie - she never learns!

I've checked and no, he has had one before though that we had to treat. I'll have another feel today.

Thanks for the response

That's OK. I hope you find out what the problem is. Talk it over with the vet, see what he thinks.

Just researched and he has flea poo down by the base of his tail so explains it all! Have advocated, RIP'd the house, washed all linen, hovered and spoken to vet. Thanks :-)
