Manchester catteries?

Hello all, long time since I've visited.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good cattery in (or very near) Manchester? We'll be bringing the boys over from Ireland with us as usual when we come in March. We will use our regular cattery in Hampshire for the majority of our stay, but we'll be staying for a couple of nights in Manchester and I don't want to have to confine them to a hotel room.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome back,
I don't personally know of any catteries in Manchester but this page may be helpful and includes a link to finding catteries in your area:

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Janey. Those guidelines are useful but, as a regular cattery user, I find that since FAB stopped their accreditation scheme, it's more difficult to tell a good cattery from a not-so-good one - especially if a previously accredited cattery is under new management. And, although it's less than ideal, because we travel with our cats between Ireland, the UK and, occasionally, France, we often don't get a chance to check them out beforehand.
If it's only for the night, we'll find a pet-friendly hotel and keep them with us, but that doesn't work so well if you want to go out for the evening! Most places, quite rightly, insist that you don't leave animals alone in the room.

Hi there, I can't help on the cattery front but I do know that the Ibis hotel on Portland St are cat friendly and only charge a supplement of £10. We stayed there with out Kitten Pie for two nights, when we moved up here, and they were fine about him being in the room, on his own.
