Question about spot-on flea treatment.

Post by Catfan5 »

My two new cats who are nearly 7yo were apparently given frontline on 1/4. Would it be safe to give them Advocate now or should I wait another week in case.. They have been scratching but they won't let me have a look in their fur yet, both are long haired. If any one can advise I would appreciate it. :)

I think a 3 week gap is fine - it is closer to 4 anyway and there must be a good safety margin. It is a different chemical anyway :)

I would suggest you ring your vet for advice when to apply another treatment, mixing different brands can be dangerous as indeed would be to apply the same treatment too soon.

Sorry for the belated reply but thanks for your responses MarkB and Elastu. I decided to wait just to be on the safe side :)
