My cat scaring neighbour's cats by sitting on window ledge
My cat scaring neighbour's cats by sitting on window ledge
Our rescue cat (2 years old) is scaring neighbour's 2 cats by sitting on neighbours window ledges, at patio doors etc. and miaowing constantly. Neighbour's cats are timid & don't want to "play" Our cat also got in to neighbour's house and attacked one of the cats although no injuries, just some fur about (neighbours cats are persion like, so very furry) Neighbours live 5 houses away and we are both trying to find a solution to this.
Re: My cat scaring neighbour's cats by sitting on window led
maybe keep your cat indoors for a while and see if that breaks the need for her to visit their house? apart from that i don't really have any suggestions.

Re: My cat scaring neighbour's cats by sitting on window led
When we had a local 'bully' cat visiting our garden I used to hiss at him and chase him off, I also used to lie in wait for him and spray him with water. If they keep that up for a while, and they will have to be persisitent and consistent, they might find he decides that their garden isn't worth the hassle.
That did work. It also made him a bit less confident when he was in our garden which, in turn, gave my tiny little Spook the courage to take him on and send him packing, which she eventually did.
Of course, he's your boy and you don't want to be encouraging other people to be unkind to him (and he doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as my visitor), but a spray of water won't hurt him and it at least gives people a relatively harmless way of fighting back.
I hope you can continue to work together and that you do find a solution. Good luck.
