sick cat after vaccine?

So I debated about getting Ted his vaccines after a bad experience with my cat jimmy but I took him in for it today and now he is all dazed, quiet, sleeping a lot and refusing food which he NEVER does. Is this normal after a vaccine? I don't remember him being like this last year:(

I had this once with Mitz, but he bounced back after a few days. It does happen sometimes, but like you, it worried me no end at the time. If he's not eating at all after 12 hours, or worryingly lethargic, do have a word with your vet.

Like lilynmitz I've had the odd cat react like that to a vaccine, but they have always bounced back in a day or so. Just keep an eye on him.

In all the years we’ve had cats they’ve always had this reaction for about 24 hours. Ours have just slept, hard to tell if they felt ill - they’ve basically seemed lethargic and not eaten. However, after that time all back to normal again. Once I even rang my vet and they said give it another day and ring if no better but they were fine.

I had my 2 vaccinated and they were tired and slept most of the day.

He was better today
was like nothing had happened.
