Because it wasn't enough that she got an infection after the surgery and has been fighting for her life for two days now that she is better this had to happen too.
I had to make a new topic to focus on this now, I need to figure out what to do since another surgery is not an option given how difficult a time she had and how we almost lost her.

Maybe it's a temporary thing because she got fixed during Estrus but knowing how small and hard to see the ovaries can be there's a good chance my vet missed an ovary or two so now that Milla is better she is back to looking for toms.

Her behavior is exactly the same as it is right before a full blown heat starts, she walks up to the front door, sniffs around it and starts calling or climbs on a window, looks outside and starts calling.

There's a chance she has extra ovarian tissue that could literally be anywhere in the abdomen, I remember reading about this a while back, so it might not be my vet's fault, she might just be one of those cats

First of all, I am glad she is feeling better! Just not in the way you were hoping. Have you spoken to your vet yet?

I know it can happen sometimes, that some of the tissue is left behind - not necessarily a whole ovary. She may just settle down in a wee while. Don't despair.

I have some experience of troublesome hormones. In my case a year on the Pill fixed the problem. I wonder, if Milla has some cells left behind, if she could be 'fixed' with the feline equivalent? Perhaps someone on here can advise.

She is due for a check up later today
Her voice is never this loud except for in heat.
And yeah I'm so relieved she is better, she was no good at all and if not for my vet's aggressive treatment we would have lost her, even my vet said it's a good thing I noticed she was off on time.
I actually noticed this yesterday morning, she called around 5AM but her voice wasn't nearly as loud so I thought nothing of it, thought maybe she was looking for Kala as she often does, but last night her voice got louder, well as loud as you'd expect a cat in heat to sound and she did all the usual stuff she does right before a full blown heat.

Whatever the case may be, I'm not putting her under anesthesia or going for another surgery any time soon, could be hormones just settling down but I did a lot of reading and everywhere it says that it's most likely either left over tissue or an entire ovary or god forbid that thing where they have extra ovarian tissue somewhere in the abdomen

Hopefully it's just her hormones settling down

The vet checked her up and did confirm she is still in heat, she said we have to wait several days for the hormones to settle down and that she hopes that's all it is
