Removing cat pee from carpets etc..

Post by Catfan5 »

I used to use biological wash followed by a spray of surgical spirit when dry. This isn't stopping our cat Bailey from peeing on the same places though. It worked for one of our previous sprayers but not this one..Can anyone recommend an effective remedy or shop bought product which works well?

If you add some white vinegar to the biological washing powder and scrub like crazy that should break down the enzymes and get rid of any smell. Your house might smell like the chippy for a couple of days!

As well as surgical spirit and if you feel it a bit cheap you can use, Gin Rum, Whisky or Brandy. :)

Thanks Elastu, one of my other cats has decided to spray as well today, having never done so before so I think the brandy, whisky etc will be for me as well as adding to the wash solution!
