Behaviour advice for Lucy

Post by booktigger »

Well, she's drawn blood again this week! I've been reading a book the vet lent me and as suspected, she fits multiple categories. These are:

Frustration related aggression (mainly towards outdoor access )
Fear related aggression
Aggression towards other cats (this is when she draws blood)
Fear of inanimate objects and stimuli

Some in theory are easy to deal with, but not in practice - e.g. stimuli is desensitisation, however it's things like the neighbours car starting and people putting things in wheely bins.

Anyone with any advice or suggestions? She has a Feliway, which makes a difference

Just a thought, but might it be worth making up a tape of random noises, like cars starting, doors slamming etc. to play to try desensitising?

Blimey - I just Googled it, I had no idea you could get something like that! I imagined you'd have to make one yourself! :D

I hope it helps. xx

For some reason today, she's been crying at the wardrobe, I'd love to know what she thinks that will achieve!
