I need help

Hello everybody,
I'm new here to the forum and I have only just logged on, hoping that maybe someone is online and can help. Well, I guess I just wanted to get an occupational therapy for me.
The problem is this: Since about 2 weeks, my cat feels Timo (10 years) bad.
He runs abnormally, eats little, hiding a lot and has frequently an attack. The vet could not say with certainty what he has and I must confess that I had to decline for financial reasons an MRI. If I had the money I would do it immediately, but unfortunately it is not.
The assumption was then that it what is inflammatory in the brain and he scored antibiotics. They have unfortunately not helped. Blood values were normal. The doctor told me now, it is possible that it is a tumor.
At the beginning I was still calm, I knew that it quickly passes. But with every attack I'm nervous. And I do not know what to do now. After the attack should be the cat calm down, yes, but he just wants to have his peace. Maybe you'll have any tips I can do my hangover good what I have not yet read on the Internet somewhere.
Best wishes,
Jessy
