My cat is 2yrs old and has had this problem since a kitten. This happened before she was put onto a steroid pill daily which stops the symptoms. Without it, her nose turns black and scabby, and she scratches at the scent glands in front of ears/side of her head until they are red, sore and bleeding. No one can tell us what is wrong. Anyone come across this? If she misses a pill, it comes back so it's only preventing the symptoms, not a cure.

That's really weird!! Have no idea... have you tried different doctors?


Actually it sounds like cat psoriasis, but not sure... i believe it looks like it due to symptoms.

Try to google for cat psoriasis in images and see if any is corresponding to your cat.
