licking castration wound

Post by vanilla »

So I took my little one to the vets to get castrated. They said he didn't need a collar as he was fine with it.

When I got him home and after a feed, he was licking that area. Should I put a e-collar on him? Or is it okay to just leave it be.

I'd leave be - in my experience males rarely bother about their missing bits for more than 24 hours, and there are no stitches to pull out
