my white cat

Post by paulineT1 »

Morning

I'm hoping someone can help me with problem I am having with a cat I rehomed from RSPCA in October. 4 weeks ago he developed sores around his back end under the tail. I took him to the vet who said they were wounds. He hasn't really been anywhere to get wounded but I took vets advice and gave him the antibiotics provided. After about a fortnight the original sores healed but then he developed another one on his back. They don't seem to hurt him and I am wondering if he is allergic to anything which is making them appear. He is a short haired white cat, absolutely delightful, a real character and I am gutted he has this problem. He is only a year old. Any thoughts appreciated.

If they are wounds its likely they are self inflicted by licking, what flea treatment does he have?

As he is a white cat, I’d have a vet check your boy out ASAP.
Hopefully, it is something easily treated but I’d err on the side of caution.

Good luck and let us know how it goes with the little guy.
