cat scooting after pooping

Now my son's other cat who is long haired started scooting after he poops in the litter box. Just enough to get the last of his business off and they he is done.
Do you think there is another issue here?
When the girlfriend was there, they would take that cat to get groomed. Since she is not there, he hasn't been groomed so I thought maybe it is due to his long hair.
Just wanted some thoughts.
He only does it after he poops. Not through the day.

It could just be that or blocked anal glands, my cat was once doing this and I took him to the vets who expressed the glands for him. If you pop the cat down to the vets they will check and easily sort it out if it is that.
