Litter Box problems

My cat sometimes paws the litter out of the box and into a pile. Tried different levels of litter ,but it makes no difference. She also sometimes pees outside of ,but next to box.

Have you tried a covered box? If she doesn't like the covered ones, a deeper tray may do the trick.
