Hi there!
My female cat has had two little kittens, she’s been a mom before and always dose an excellent job!
However, one kitten has started eating wet food and even dry!
The other kitten shows no interest what so ever? They both still feed off their mom too.
They are about 8 weeks old, I’m just wondering if the one kitten is still dependant on her mom will this effect her eating habits? She will sniff the food and then back away from it. I’ve tried to give her a little taste by putting jelly around her lips, she will lick it but still shows no interest in the actual food..?
Should I be concerned or just wait it out incase she’s a slow bloomer x
Many thanks
Mary

Re: Kitten not eating
At 8 weeks most kittens are happily eating solid food. I would try feeding the kittens separately, in case one is bullying the other around the food dish. Perhaps adding a little warm water to make a gruel consistency would help, or starting her on kitten milk.
