Kitten hiding in an unreachable spot

Post by AR »

I need some advice, just brought kitten home and she found a tiny hole under the kitchen cabinets. She has been inside all day, she has not eaten or drunk water. She might be too scared to come out. I placed some food just right outside the opening but she has not shown any interest. I can not reach her through that tiny hole. Should I be worried?

It is pretty typical kitten behaviour. I would leave her alone, with smelly food close by and a tray within reach. She is more likely to come out if no one is there, and if the food smells really tempting. If she has not ventured out to eat in 24 hours it might be time to consider dismantling the cupboard...
