Fifteen months ago, my family cat Jean ran away. By some miracle, today we got a message from a family that had been feeding him for months! However, there are now some issues- Two new cats. We haven't yet brought him home as we are assessing the best plan of action. I was his favorite and primary caregiver but I worry I don't smell the way I did fifteen months ago, because I started testosterone shortly thereafter and am nearing a full year on the hormone. I miss him a ton, and I want to do anything I can to make him feel safe and secure at home again. The other two cats are 1 and 2. I know he will probably need his own space without the smell of any other cats, which is doable. What else can I do? Will he remember me?
