One of my boys was having inappropriate urination issues (not destructively often) so we took him to the vet. He tested high in blood level in his urine. We also noticed (on two occasions), there was trace of blood in the litter box (non-fecal). We have been giving him shots to treat what the Vet is saying is likely FIC.
He has been on a home-made raw food diet for 4 months. There hasn't been an incident of inappropriate peeing for 2 months however the urine analysis still shows high blood level. The Vet suggested we give him a prescription diet (Hills C/D multicare) for urinary health.
I'm a believer in the home made raw food diet and I'm wondering if there's any supplement I can put into the current raw food diet that will help with his FIC issue.
