What are these bumps that showed up out of nowhere!

My cat has these raised bumps that just started showing up going down her spine. They are dark reddish purple and have very clear edges. They are raised off the skin and some seem to be growing larger.

Has anyone ever seen something like this on their cat before?

I dont know is you already have cured her. But my thought was that it looks like a tick. Does the cat go outdoors? I hope that it is b etter now.
