Hi all,
Probably a very naive question but I've recently adopted a gorgeous 5yr old FIV boy and unfortunately I can feel the beginnings of a stinking cold coming on. I'm wondering if I need to attempt to steer well clear of my cat as being FIV they are more susceptible to infection. I will of course be dosing myself up to try to keep cold at bay but any advice would be welcome.
Thanks, Emz
Can my FIV cat catch my cold?

Hi, don't worry - the human cold/flu is human-specific, just as a cat's cold/flu is feline specific; your cat can't catch the bug from you. Hope you feel better soon
