Adopting young FIV cat

Hello!
I'd be grateful for some advice. I'm hopefully adopting a 3 year old black cat from a rescue home who has FIV. He's a gorgeous little boy and I can't wait for him to come home. The only reason I can adopt him is because I have a flat, hence he won't be going outdoors. I'd be grateful for some guidance as to how to ensure he gets enough stimulation, being an indoors cat. Also, does anyone have any experience of good insurance companies paying out despite the fact their cat has FIV?
Any tips gratefully received. I'm excited about adopting him but a little nervous about the FIV status as well.
Many thanks!
