Hi
I have a poorly cat, the vet thought she felt a mass, turned out it was a swollen lymphnode, she took biopsy, this has came back negative for cancer and negative for FIV, could the cancer biopsy be a false negative, if so how does that actually happen? I am no further forward with any diagnosis meanwhile my cat is getting worse. I have paid a lot of money over my insrance to pay for diagnoses and still not got anywhere never mind pay for treatment.Do I have a good leg to stand on in getting this money back for all their mistakes?they have given him treatment another vet said he wasn't to get becaue it made him ill, misdiagnosed, didn't feel lump in the first place when I first took him n told me it was just a urine infection!
Thanks

Re: Lymphoma Biopsy
I have no experience to offer, but if he's insured, could he be referred to a veterinary hospital? as you say, there's little hope of a cure until you get a firm diagnosis, and if he has something unusual going on, he needs to be seen in the best centre of excellence you can take him to
Re: Lymphoma Biopsy
I have already used up and paid over my insurance as the surgery n everything else they have done was very expensive. I am going to a different vet tonight for a second opinion! Thanks
