Tiki and Boo's progress

Hello everyone, not been around much as I've been busy at work and re-landscaping the garden much to Boo's utter disgust (think she rather enjoyed it being an overgrown jungle!).

Thought I'd come back and let you know about our integration progress, happy to report things are going exceptionally well! We can now let Tiki and Boo have free run of the house together and they are getting on amazingly well. They share a dinner tray now although Tiki will head butt Boo out of the way to get at the food, Boo just lets her take it. Tiki also licks Boo's face while she is eating. Boo's grumbling has all but stopped now, she only grumbles if she's in a mood. The last two nights we have let them sleep downstairs together and locked them out of our bedroom - mainly because they seem to think that 2am is bounce on the bed time and we really needed some sleep!

I am really proud of how well Boo has adapted, she seems a lot happier and she is even friendlier to the other cats on the street now haha!

The only exception to their friendliness is when the hoover monster comes out, then it's every cat for themselves. Boo did unceremoniously shove Tiki off the arm of the sofa when I was hoovering the other day into the path of Henry but fortunately she scarpered. I think Boo thought she was making a sacrifice to the vaccuum gods!!

Hi there - that's good to hear; thanks for the update; it's always good to hear of a happy outcome, although the signs sounded positive despite Boo's grumbling.

Omg they do hate the vacuum don't they - naughty Boo! But she wouldn't really want to be without her mate by the sound!

Thank you for the lovely update on Tiki and Boo, see they DID love each over really, just took a while and patience on your part.

One of mine didn't mind the vaccuum ( stair attachment) being used to get all fluff off her, deaf , would happily sit there for ages, others run a mile...at the very sight of the dyson

Thought I would just update this post rather than start a new one, glad to say we feel they are now both fully intergrated and they can have free reign to spend as much or as little time together as they like. We were just waiting for them to get to the point where they will happily curl up for a snooze together and today we found them like this....
