Theo is grunting

Why do cats grunt. Theo sits looking at us making this strange grunting sound. It sounds like an elderly man with a weezy chest. He does it when hes looking out of the window too.

Boo does this when she sees something she wants to hunt, I think a lot of cats do it

Sometimes they chatter too. It sounds like they are talking to themselves.

Scabby Cat does this a lot, usually when relaxing, Halo also does it but never heard Zeke do it. We call it 'grumping' ☺
