I've always thought that my friend (and former OH) Adrian has a liking for stating the obvious. Today, during a pause in the conversation, he studied Molly, lying at my feet, and said:-

'She's got hairy legs.'

Had he only just noticed?

Now if it had been 30 years ago, he might well have been - I had legs like a chimpanzee's, and as for my armpits ... he used to threaten me with the Forestry Commission ...

Lol, I don't remember at all, but I haven't watched TV since 1994 so perhaps that's why. Hah, typical Yorkshireman. One of my favourite jokes is about a Yorkshireman who rings up the doctor -

YM - It's my missis, doctor, she's been taken badly.
Dr - What seems to be the problem?
YM - Eh well, it's ... (lowers voice in embarrassment) ... them women's troubles. Just laying in bed, moaning.
Dr - I see. Well, can you tell me a little more? Has she got the coil in?
YM - Got coil in? Got coil in? Nay, she's not got ruddy tea on t'table yet!
