My nerves won't take much more of this. I have two 1yr 5mnth cats, brother and sister who are half Maine Coon half Bengal/BSH mix. During the last week or so they have started to climb across the roof of our house, walking very close to edge of long drop (gaining access via fence/extension at the back) is this normal?? we are a relaxed house of 2 adults, they are spoilt rotten, have a big garden and come when called/shake biscuits ???

So sorry I shouldn't laugh but I am, yes that's on the normal spectrum especially for the Bengal part of them! How high is the roof, are we talking one level, two, three?

Yep, normal. Cats seem to like to give their humans incipient heart failure. Then they drop from the roof to an upstairs window sill, and jump 8 feet to reach one with an open window...

They will calm down eventually, in a couple of years. :D

I'd say it's typical for every breed. Cat's like climbing, especially roofs, because there's a great place to bask in the sun. My Bengal breed cat adores climbing, and as high as possible. Probably it's because this is genetics, and she needs more space.
